Traditional Family

Over the Christmas break, I spent most of my time with my family. On Christmas Eve, it was my parents anniversary of 23 years of marriage. Around this time we go over my grandfathers house to fellowship and have fun. We always make the traditional pot of Gumbo with large pieces of shrimp, my favorite.It was Christmas Eve and we usually open our gifts at my grandpas house. Some of the things that went through my mind as I was with my family was if I didn't have a family and what if I didn't have the relationship with my cousins? How would the tradition be a tradition? I love everything about Christmas Eve and my family. We may not be all the same nor have the same beliefs, but we do share the same love for each other. That's one thing I love about my family.
